Canada’s meeting place for freelance writers and creators

Established 2010

The Canadian Media Guild's Freelance Branch is looking for someone in the GTA to join their branch executive this month.

This is a volunteer position, but wage replacement, travel and per diems are covered when you're on official Guild business.

This position will give you a chance to help other freelancers in your area with contract questions, disputes, and outreach. You'll also have input into the continued development of the branch.

Ideally, the Freelance Branch is looking for someone who earns at least part of their living as a freelancer (not a temp or contract worker) for the CBC.

If you're interested and would like to learn more, please contact CMG Freelance Branch President Don Genova at don@dongenova.com.

The branch will be looking for representatives from other parts of the country later this year, so interested freelancers from outside of Toronto are also invited to get in touch for more information.
