The second in the Canadian Media Guild's Freelance Friday workshop series is coming up next week in Toronto. This time, the topic is Freelance Contracts: How to value your work, get it in writing and get paid.

CMG staff rep Keith Maskell will explore the nuts and bolts of freelance contracts and will give participants the tools they need to value their work appropriately. Attendees are invited to bring along copies of contracts that they have questions or concerns about.

The workshop is aimed at freelancers in media, creative, communications, cultural, IT and knowledge work. It's scheduled for Friday March 7th from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the 519 Church Street Community Centre.

Freelance Friday workshops are free for CMG Freelance members and $20 for non-members. Non-members also have 60 days to apply that $20 workshop fee towards the CMG's new Freelance Union Membership, which costs $150 annually.
