Have you got an interest in literacy? ABC Life Literacy Canada is looking for applications for its 2014 Peter Gzowski Life Literacy Fellowship.

The $3000 grant is offered annually to help a journalist develop and publish a story on the subject of adult literacy in Canada. The fellowship was created in honour of the late broadcaster Peter Gzowski who was a great supporter of literacy issues.

Applications are open to freelancers and journalism students as well as staff journalists. The submission deadline is Friday, May 30, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
